Love of Music

I have had one of those rare days when I found a rich vein of my favourite music. Rather than disturb the kittens who are snuggled in a ball, purring away, I put on my headphones and soaked up the great sounds. It was a diverse selection of the cheese master himself Richard Cheese, through to rare recordings from the Gaslamp Killer and finally some sublime work from both Martyn and Blue Mar Ten. If only all days could be good music days.

The dress in case you are wondering is from Oasis and Im trying out the Double Extension mascara from L’Oreal which is pretty hot.

Best and hugs for now.

The photos keep on coming today. Well why not. I do love this fab little ditsy dress from Topshop. Very sweet and girly and it makes me feel the same.

Ruffles & Feathers

Today I just felt a little more frou frou than usual. Maybe its a spirit of fun thats made me want to be a little more over the top. I recently purchased this beautiful dress from Warehouse which was hard fought for. Hot footing it around all of two major cities stand-alones and concession stores finally bore fruit. The fascinator is from my collection and comes from Monsoon.

I don’t know how long the ruffle trend has got to run, but I’ve seen quite a lot in the Spring collections. Aside from its fashion lifespan it looks fab and slinky.

Winter Florals

How do you bring back Spring in the cold and grey weather. This combination is a good compromise don’t you think? The shoe boots have really become quite comfy.

Dress by Oasis, Cardigan by Urban Outfitters, Tights by Wolford, Shoes by Topshop. Wearing new M.A.C. Light That Fire! Lipglass which you cant see with an iphone pic but looks luurvelee and works well with smokey eyes. And for those with the parfum plugin, fragrance by Chloé. :)

New Shoes!

Christmas is just around the corner. Time to unbox the decorations and create an enchanting sparkle in the house.

So today I’m feeling very much the party girl as these gorgeous shoe boots from Topshop with their 5.5″ heel arrived. I took a little pic of them on the table. My attempts of taking a photo of me actually in them failed miserably. With a the girly black satin prom dress and new glittery M.A.C. eyes, I’m ready to hit the town.

I took a trip around H&M on saturday to check out the Sonia Rykiel collaboration. I had mixed feelings. Some of hot pink pieces were utter tat but some of the hipster pants and the body’s seemed well designed. Unfortunately that branch had been utterly decimated and there wasn’t much left. However a peek online (yes we can buy online here in the Netherlands – sweet) revealed a lot of it still available (unlike the Jimmy Choo – grumble). So I did the decent thing and purchased a beautiful body in black that had a 40’s vibe to it.

Sonia Rykiel pour H&M

So are we all anticipating the Sonia Rykiel collection for H&M in a couple of days? Well, I must admit to having a mixed reaction on this one. The advertising and the live show looks gorgeous. Particularly loving the Paris within Paris theme. As for the clothes themselves, I’m not getting a warm fuzzy feeling for them. Perhaps I’m a little cynical but sticking some roses on some regular underwear is a little cheap to my mind. I will reserve judgement until it hits the stores on Saturday.
